Industrial Area RANI BAZAR, Bikaner

 

Background :

There had been no industrial area in Bikaner district in sixties. Govt. of Rajasthan established this area in early SEVENTIES at Bikaner city. For the adequate value addition of the High quality & world famous Chokhala wool, pulses, groundnuts produced in Bikaner district. The government of Rajasthan decided in early seventies to develop this area.

This area had been established for the organised and systematic development of wool, food products & agro based industries since Bikaner is famous for its traditional food, wool & agro products.

Location :

Ind. Area Rani Bazar was planned in the south east corner of Bikaner city in the seventies. The location of this area, after the development of city in last 40 years has come completely inside the city. This area is surrounded by residential colonies on all sides.

Infrastructure facilities in RANI BAZAR :

This is a TRANSFERRED industrial area from govt. of Rajasthan to RIICO. The government of Rajasthan had developed this area in the early seventies and has provided carpeted roads, Drainage System, Water Supply through PHED in total area of 155.33 acres. The other infrastructure facilities are being shared by industries with the residents of surrounding areas.

All facilities of Bikaner city are available to the entrepreneurs of this area.

Budget :

There is provision of Rs. 25.00 lacs for maintenance of services like roads, drainage and street light during 2015-16.

This area is known for follwing industries.

Woollen Industries              :-          Carpet woolen yarn, Wool carpet etc.

Most of the industries are Small Scale industries. There is only one medium scale industries in the name of M/s Bikaner Ceramics Pvt. Ltd.

Industrial Area BICHHWAL, Bikaner

Background :

There had been only one industrial area at district head quarter Bikaner : Ind. Area Rani Bazar till 1980. For the adequate value addition of the High quality ball clay, world famous Chokhala wool, pulses, groundnuts produced in Bikaner district & surrounding districts, the corporation decided in 1981 to develop a new area at Bichhwal, Bikaner. The foundation stone of the industrial area Bichhwal was laid down in the year 1981 by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Shiv Charan Mathur.

This area has been established for the development of mineral, wool, ceramics, food products & agro based industries. High quality of ball clay, world famous Chokhala wool, pulses, groundnut are produced in Bikaner district & surrounding districts also.

Location :

Ind. Area Bichhwal is situated near village Bichhwal at 5.0 Km. from Bikaner on National Highway No.15 leading to Sriganganagar. Presently this area has come inside the town. This industrial area is presently surrounded by Rajasthan Agriculture Univercity in north, I.G.N.P. Colony in south, CAZRI land in west and R.A.C. line in east.  

Infrastructure facilities in BICHHWAL :

Corporation has provided carpeted roads, Drainage System, Water Supply through the tube wells in total area, 200 Street Light points of sodium vapour lamps & tube light and also indirected facilities like Police out post building,  RIICO unit office, Residential Colony, Commercial complex for local needs, Petrol pump, Dharam Kanta, Fire Station etc.

Corporation has allotted land to municipalty for fire station and J.V.V. N.L. for G.S.S. on token price only. To meet out the demand of the industries, a 33/11 KV sub station has been constructed & commissioned by J.V.V.N.L.& fire station has been constructed and being operated by municipalty in the area.

Telephone facilities in the area are available at par with the Bikaner city like S.T.D., I.S.D., Internet etc. by B.S.N.L., Bikaner.

Budget :

There is provision of Rs. 57.00 lacs for development works like roads, drainage and street light during 2015-2016            .

There is provision of Rs. 97.50 lacs for  maintenance of services like roads, drainage and street light during 2015-16.

Ind. Growth Centre KHARA, Bikaner

Background :

The Ministry of Industry, Department of Industrial Development, Govt. of India approved 5 Growth Centres in Rajasthan. I.G.C. Khara, Bikaner is one of the five growth centres of Rajasthan. This area was established in the year 1992. Govt. of India has also approved this project in 1992. This is the corporation area.

This area has been established for the development of mineral, wool, ceramics, food products & agro based industries. High quality of ball clay, world famous Chokhala wool, pulses, groundnut are produced in Bikaner district & surrounding districts also.

Location :

I.G.C. Khara is situated near village Khara at 18 Km. from Bikaner on National Highway No.15 leading to Sriganganagar.

Project Brief :

The total project was prepared for Rs. 27.50 crores to be developed on 726.91 acres of land and the same was approved by Govt. of India. As on date the expenditure incurred is Rs. 1041.33 lacs on the development of the area and in future proposed expenditure is limited upto Rs. 1200 lacs. Since the remaining amount Rs. 1500 lacs has been transferred to Split Growth Centre Karni which is adjacent to existing Karni Industrial Area which has already been govt. of india. After providing all infrastructure facilities, this area has been declared as developed and presently it is saturated area.

Infrastructure facilities in the Growth Centre :

Corporation has provided carpeted roads, Drainage System, Water Supply from I.G.N.P. Canal system in total area, 170 Street Light points and also indirected facilities like Bank Building, Post office building, Police out post building, Bus Waiting shed, RIICO site office etc.

To meet out the increased demand in future a 33/11 KV  sub station has been constructed & commissioned by RSEB at Growth Centre, Khara with a separate 33 KV feeder from 132 KV sub station.

Telephone exchange of 256 lines has been commissioned and administred by B.S.N.L., Bikaner.

Police out post building completed. We are pursuing the matter with  Police Department  for providing Police strength at Growth Centre, Khara.

Budget :

There is provision of Rs. 141.82 lacs for development works like roads, drainage and street light during 2015-2016.

There is provision of Rs. 96.50 lacs for maintenance of services like roads, drainage and street light during 2014-2015 .

Type of Units established at I.G.C. Khara :

LPG bottling plant by M/s. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Liquor packing plant by M/s. Raj. State Ganganagar Sugar Mill, Ceramic Industries of sanatary wares, insulators & Tiles by private entrepreneurs. Other units of Carpet woolen yarn, Flour mill, Mineral Grinding, Cement based Industries, Agro Base Industries etc.

Ind. Area KARNI, Bikaner

 

Background :

It was the year of 1991, when land stock of Both the Phases of Industrial Area Bichhwal was leading to exhaust. A loud demand for another Phase was immerged up among the entrepreneurs of Bikaner city. Existing Industrial Area Bichhwal was surrounded by NH-15 / RAC Line at East, Broadgauge Railway / Central Arid Zone REsearch Centre (CAZRI) at West, Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI) at North and Indira Gandhi Nahar Pariyojna colony at South.  There was no way out other than to go on Pugal road in region already earmarked as industrial land use in Master Plan of Bikaner city.

Looking to the close vicinity of habitation, it was decided to not to allow mineral grinding units over here. This policy is still in force and not a single Mineral Grinding / Calcination unit is there in this Industrial Area. This area has attracted the existing Woolen Yarn manufacturing units established in City limit. These units switched over to Karni Industrial Area. A distance of merely 1 km. from Wool Mandi, which is the largest one in Asia, proved it an ideal hub for Woolen Yarn manufacturing units. RIICO decided in 1991 to develop I.A. Karni Phase I. Consequently, in 1996, I.A. Karni Phase II was developed followed by SGC Karni 2001.

Location :

Karni Industrial Area is situated on SH-3 leading to Chhatargarh. the distance from Bikaner city is only 5 kms.

Project Brief :

Administrative Sanction of Rs. 11444.32 lacs has been accorded for development of Ind. Area Karni (Extension), but the development of this could not be taken up yet due to some disputes in land of subjudice and other nature. Work of EIA is under progress.  82 No. of plots allotted under 3(W).

Ingrastructure facilities in I.A. Karni :

Corporation has provided wide carpeted roads, Drainage System, Water Supply from under ground water sources (Tube Wells) in total area creating 2 RCC SRs, 2 RCC CWRs, 6 Nos. Tube Wells, Pump Rooms, Switch Rooms etc., 253 Street Light points and also indirected facilities like ASE Office cum Store, Bus Waiting shed, etc.

Fortunately, the Jodhpur DISCOM has established a 132 kV Sub Station right in Industrial Area. The credit of no power problem in this area goes to this Sub Station.

Telephone facility is being provided by Lalgarh Remote Switch Unit (RSU) through a rich cable network in the area by B.S.N.L., Bikaner.

A chunk of land has been allotted for Police Out Post building. Police Department may create Police Out Post facility in the area in near future..

Budget :

There is provision of Rs. 38.63 lacs for Development works like Road and street light during 2015-2016.

There is provision of Rs. 84.00 lacs for maintenance of services like roads, drainage and street light during 2015-16.

INDUSTRIAL AREA NOKHA

Industrial  Area Nokha is spread over 34.31 acres of land and is situated on N. H. 89, 56 Kms. away from Bikaner and 4 Kms. from Nokha towards Bikaner. All the infrastructure facilities have been provided in the area.

Water supply is being maintained by RIICO through  two No.  tube wells, one CWR, one O.H.T. and distribution system.

Power supply is being done through 33/11 kV GSS at Ind. Area.

Total cost of development of the area is Rs.81.90  lacs out of which an expenditure of Rs. 81.31 lacs has been incurred on development works                                                                                                      

 

INDUSTRIAL AREA NOKHA (EXTENSION)

As the existing I.A. Nokha  has become  saturated and all the plots have been allotted;  entrepreneurs of the area are demanding for development of the new Ind. Area. In order to full fill their demand, possession of 91.24 acres land has been taken after depositing premium  / compensation Total plots planned in the area -     109 Nos.

Investment                                      -    Approximate Rs. 150 crore.

Total cost of development of the area is Rs.1334.42  lacs out of which an expenditure of Rs. 838.34 lacs has been incurred on development works.

 

INDUSTRIAL AREA, NOKHA (Undeveloped)

This area is also situated adjoining to existing area having 30.75 acres of land.  This area has been allotted to the entrepreneurs as undeveloped.

 

INDUSTRIAL AREA LOONKARANSAR

Industrial  Area Loonkaransar is situated over 81.71 acres of land and is adjacent to Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti, Loonkaransar.

All the infrastructure facilities like roads, water and power supply have been provided in the area. Water supply is being maintained through P.H.E.D. and power supply from existing G.S.S. at Loonkaransar.
